comedy, cabaret, and software

We produce award-winning comedy, cabaret and variety shows, and also make the software that runs those shows. We're producing over 20 shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year, check out our full programme!

Two techs making sure the show goes on smoothly. One is at the sound desk while the other one is looking at his laptop. Not exactly sure what he is holding in his right hand but he seems rather happy (it's hard to tell, really, because it's Tom)

We are one of the largest producers of comedy at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival

We are proudly presenting a record-breaking twenty different shows at the festival, including our flagship 5 Headliners for Β£10β€”the biggest-selling comedy lineup show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, now boasting four separate performances a day each with a top-quality cast of headline-level stand-up talent.

who are we?

We're a production company based in Edinburgh and London. Founded by a small team of creatives, we've produced shows all over the world, in multiple languages, in venues large and small.

If you are an act or their representation, find out about how to perform on one of our shows here. If you need to get in touch for any other reason, please email us.

we produce shows

We are one of the largest comedy producers at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Our flagship show 5 Headliners for Β£10 is the biggest-selling comedy line-up show at the festival. We've developed over a dozen unique formats, and also produce established IP on behalf of other productions, such as the long-running festival hit This Is Your Trial, now in its 18th year! Click here to see our full roster this year!

We bring some of our shows to Perth Fringeworld, Adelaide Fringe, and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and book talent for comedy clubs nationally.

we make software

In additional to producing shows, we also make the software that runs them. We are the team behind the industry-leading Confirmed Comedy Club Booking Software.

Confirmed handles the boring side of running a comedy night, like sending offers, generating settlement reports, and creating call sheets, plus dozens of little tools to help comedy producers work with less stress.

Its companion software Showtime runs the sound, lights and video screens of our shows, as well as full time comedy clubs such as The Gaffe (Bristol), Big Belly (London), Creatures (Manchester), and Jesters (Bath), to name a few.

Our software does all sorts of things to help run interactive comedy shows.

It's used in A Pub Quiz For D**kheads to collate audience points, in Bad Dates Anonymous to solicit anonymous dating horror stories, and in Not My Audience to run a full interactive panel show that the audience control from a web-browser hosted mini app.

The uses for our software are limitless!

MC Hammersmith uses it to solicit and randomise audience suggestions for his improvised raps, the Queer Comedy Club uses it to allow audience members to not only vote for their favourite act in their gong show. We're also behind https://dmx.monster which if you're the right kind of nerd, you'll think is cool.

we help other people

We're good at solving problems for comedians and comedy clubs. Things we've done:

Helped save a new-build comedy club in Europe over €2,500 by consulting on light and sound equipment for their new venue.

Helped a startup run a corporate comedy night, souring them a location, booking acts, and helped with branding.

Developed and helped to write a new Fringe show format that used technology and audience interaction, that subsequently went onto tour internationally.

Advised how to modify a live entertainment venue's website to integrate act bios, audience email capture, and dynamic post-show "you just saw" listings.

Set up a regular comedy night in a busy pub, including branding, website, promo video, act booking, and marketing.

Sourced comedians for a corporate event, and used our software to create bespoke interactive entertainment for the employees.

If you think we might be able to help, then please send us an email.

We understand the needs of artists and producers, so can work on deferred compensation arrangements, and our minimum engagement fee is just Β£240 + VAT.

If you book a comedy night, run a comedy club, or run lineup shows at a festival, there is a good chance that our software Confirmed will save you time and money.

Confirmed was originally an internal tool that we built to keep track of the acts that we were booking at our festival shows.

At the time we were working with around 40-50 acts, and found that maintaining multiple communication channels, dealing with both acts and their agents, and sharing information across our team on who was booked, for which show, and what their fee arrangements was challenging.

Not to mention asking acts for up-to-date bio information, headshots, banking information, and sending them call sheets was getting challenging as we scaled.

Confirmed is now used by hundreds of comedy producers worldwide, including some of the biggest comedy clubs in the world such as the Sydney Comedy Store, we're used by all of the major full-time English-speaking clubs in the Netherlands, Czechia, Spain, France, Portugal, and more, plus we're used by indie promoters running the occasional gig, festival popups, or promoting on behalf of other clubs.

Since soft launching in 2023, we've seen the value that our customers get by keeping good data and records, and we've grown our software in response to their needs.

We've introduced features like show reports, so showrunners can report back on great performances or issues to address; we've launched lightweight web-based countdown timers so talent on stage can see how long they have left without somebody flashing an iPhone torch at the back; and taken hours of back and forth with our Settlements feature, where acts can generate a one-click fully compliant invoice, and clubs can pay that invoice through direct integration with their banking software.

As comedy producers, we're uniquely placed to build this software, because we use it ourselves every day, and understand the challenges the industry faces.

Whether you're about to launch your first club, or are already established and looking to improve your processes, we'd love to hear from you and find out how we can help.
